We made it to 13 weeks!

Kenny and I are so excited to make it to the 2nd trimester. I am feeling really good except for nausea that happens at different times in the day. I've found milk to be very helpful, so I'm drinking several glasses of skim milk a day. We go in for another check-up tomorrow & will have an ultrasound picture to share. I will begin posting each week with an update & welcome any of your comments on our blog. I know this is going to be an amazing journey. We've already noticed a lot of changes. My clothes are getting a little more uncomfortable, but maternity clothes are still too big. I'm excited that in a few short weeks we will know what we are having. We can't wait! The next few weekends will be busy with our nephew Collin turning ONE, a Horton family trip to Sky Top Orchard in NC, our 3 year anniversary, my mom & grandpa's birthdays, and a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach, just Ken & I. We look forward to continuing to share this journey with all of you.
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)
