I'm sure you all know what a planner I am & I'm trying to get done as much as I can before the baby arrives. I've got my OB & I know where we will be delivering. I've pre-registered at the hospital & signed up for the hospital tour and new parent classes in the new year. We are starting to look at pediatricians so we can decide before the baby arrives. We chose a daycare & paid the deposit. We've got names, the crib, bedding, etc. picked out. What else should I be doing?
One thing I'm excited about is having maternity & newborn pictures done of the baby & I think I've decided on a photographer locally http://www.susanbrewerphotography.com/. She has a "First year" baby program & I can exchange one of the sessions for maternity. I'm thinking maternity, newborn, 6 months, & 1 year photos.
I've found some images online like I like- I think it would be cute for my maternity pictures to be done with a parasol in blue or pink since the baby is due in April. I was so excited to see an example online of what I had thought up. What do you guys think? I've attached a few examples. I was thinking the shoe picture would be replaced with our vans skull slip ones for mommy, daddy, & baby.
One thing to think about is whether you want to breastfeed or not. If you do want to, be prepared that it as not as easy as you would think, and be prepared! Take the breastfeeding classes and get as much help and advice as you can on the subject. If you want to, that is. It's not for every woman, but if you want to and are able to, it can be a very rewarding experiance.

ReplyDeleteHey mama! I love your maternity pic ideas. Pregnant women are so beautiful and it's such a special time to capture. I can't wait to see your pics. It sounds like you are way ahead of where I was as far as getting ready for baby. Are you doing a gift registry? All I would tell you is enjoy your sleep. Yes it's 5:30am again! Just got Michael back to sleep and I'm wide awake. For the love of God, sleep as much as you can-lol! Can't wait to hear if you're having a boy or girl, but you're right, as long as they're healthy, that's all that matters!
